Boat Rub Rail (sometimes referred to as gunnel molding) comes in various lengths, widths and colors. The majority of the rub rail we see is from either Taco Metals, or Barbour Plastics - two big names in the industry. We also offer boat rub rail inserts to highlight the look and function of the boat rub rail. Stainless steel and vinyl are the most common materials for boat rub rail inserts, although aluminum can also be used. Boat Rub Rail protects your boat from abrasion and impact damage. Whether it is stainless steel, vinyl or aluminum they offer outstanding durability in tough marine enviroments. Vinyl boat rub rails conform to the contours of your boat (some heating may be required) then screw directly into the gunnel. Most, but not all boat rub rails are pre-drilled.
